• To support the teaching objectives of the department by delivering teaching through allocated lectures, tutorials and other forms of undergraduate teaching by the Department Chair.
• Participation in lab infrastructure development of highest standards
• To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
• To develop own teaching materials, methods and approaches, with guidance. Obtain and analyze feedback on own teaching design and delivery to facilitate this.
• To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
• To ensure that course design and delivery comply with the quality standards and regulations of the University and department
• To participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
• Familiarity with and operation of special laboratory equipment, including analytical equipment, data measurement devices and meters, pumps, reactors, membranes, heat exchangers, other unit operations, and biological materials and equipment such as microscopes
• Development of new or modified lab course manuals for use by students
• Supervise and demonstrate chemical engineering unit operations/processes to undergraduate and graduate students
• Design and develop new experiments for undergraduate and graduate level chemical engineering laboratory• Assisting faculty in teaching undergraduate students of chemical engineering in classroom and laboratory
